Finance Officer

Job Summary
M.D. Charlton is rapidly growing in size and operation and for that matter we are urgently needing a full time Finance Officer with a minimum of 2 years accounting experience. The responsibilities include working on AP, AR, bank reconciliation, GST/ HST, inventory management, and general duties as relevant to this position. Finance Officer supports and works with the Comptroller and AP/AR officers on various tasks helping in preparation of daily/monthly financial reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
You have the following qualifications and experience required to join the Team as Finance Officer:
- 2+ years bookkeeping experience required
- Studying towards CPA or completed the first modules
- Able to post journal entries, and ability to read and understand general ledger entries, trial balance/Income statement would be desirable
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of accounts payable experience
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of accounts receivable experience
- Experience on ERP and multicurrency environment will be an asset
- A team player, detailed-oriented, organized, deadline-driven, ability to work independently
- MS Office proficiency, including MS Excel reporting abilities such as Pivot Tables/V-Lookups functions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills/Qualifications:
Your responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:
- Manage AP and AR. Post transactions, manage relationship with customers and vendors, monitor AR/AP listings to ensure all company payables and receivables (cheques and EFT payments/receipts) are settled in a timely manner in accordance with the terms.
- Daily input and postings to GL, post journal entries
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Experience in government filing of GST/HST reports
- Perform any other duties that are relevant to this position

Shift:
